VIDGA was founded in late fall 2023 by Charlottesville-area disc golfer Joe Crisp to facilitate the development of interscholastic disc golf competition across the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Our website serves as a central hub for information on disc golf clubs at both public and private secondary schools in Virginia; and for the planning, scheduling, and publicizing of interscholastic disc golf events throughout the year.

Joe is also the founder of the Flying Flucos Disc Golf Club at Fluvanna County High School (home of the Flying Flucos!) and manages their website, flucosdgc.org. In addition to being the founder and staff sponsor of that club, Joe is also the network administrator for Fluvanna County Public Schools, and coaches the boys soccer teams at FCHS as well. Joe has two sons in the Fluvanna school system, and he enjoys watching them play soccer and basketball. In between all of that, he tries to play as much disc golf as possible!

VIDGA is a non-profit organization which relies solely on donations, the contributions of its members and sponsors, and the work of volunteers to sustain its operations.
